As we gather to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our National Guard Soldiers, Airmen, families, retirees, and the entire EANGUS community.
Whether you are starting the day with a community turkey trot, sitting down to dinner with friends and family, or sharing a meal in a deployed environment with your brothers and sisters in uniform, I hope you find moments of peace, connection, and reflection.
Please also keep in your thoughts and prayers SSgt Andrew Wolfe and SPC Sarah Beckstrom of the West Virginia National Guard, along with their families. We wish them strength, comfort, and a full and speedy recovery.
And as always, let us hold close in our hearts all of our Guardsmen and Service Members who are away from home today – those standing watch, responding to emergencies, or serving in harm’s way around the world. Their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of their families, is deeply appreciated.
I am profoundly thankful for this community and for the strength of our association. Your dedication, advocacy, and support make our mission possible. Together, we continue to ensure that every enlisted member of the National Guard is represented, supported, and never forgotten.
Wishing you and your families a safe, warm, and meaningful Thanksgiving.
CMSgt Josh J. Baker
President, EANGUS
